Many Malden residents take the Orange Line from Malden Center or Oak Grove and leave the car parked for days at a time. In a city of multi-family homes and on-street parking, a car that sits that long is the one most likely to be dead when you finally need it.
What Mobile Battery Replacement Covers
- We come to your home, your work, or wherever the car is parked safely
- Battery, alternator, and parasitic-draw testing before anything is replaced
- The correct battery type for your vehicle, including AGM and EFB for start-stop systems
- Battery registration and coding on vehicles that require it
- 12-volt auxiliary batteries on hybrids and EVs
- Old battery taken away for recycling
Modern cars keep drawing a little power even when they're off, for alarms, keyless entry and the computers that remember your settings. Over a week of sitting, especially in the cold, that slow drain can take a healthy battery down far enough that it won't start the car. We come to wherever the car is parked, test the battery and alternator, and tell you whether it needs replacing or just needs charging and driving more.
If it does need a battery, we install the correct type on site. On-street jobs need a spot where it's safe and legal to work, with room at the front of the car, so tell us about the parking situation when you call. The old battery leaves with us for recycling.

Malden Questions About Mobile Battery Replacement
- My car sits for a week while I take the T. Will that kill the battery?
- It can, especially in winter or on an older battery. Every car has a small standing draw. We test whether yours is normal and whether the battery has enough left in it.
- Can you do the job on the street in front of my building?
- Often, yes, as long as the spot is legal and safe to work in. If it's too tight, we'll talk through other options with you.
- What about brakes, tires or other repairs?
- Those are done at our shop at 779 Woburn St in Wilmington. In Malden, our mobile service covers batteries; for shop work, you bring the car to Wilmington.
